Soft corals and calcareous algae also need strontium for growth. Natural sea water contains 8 mg / L strontium ions (Sr2 +). Strontium is not stable in the saltwater aquarium and is no longer available after 12-15 hours. Daily dosing is therefore necessary. The absorption of strontium is greatly accelerated by additives. An addition of QFI Strontium Mix ensures the growth of hard and soft corals, prevents the colors from fading and intensifies the colors. A combination with QFI trace elements & iodine mix is important.
