Care Level: Moderate to advanced. Requires stable water conditions and a mature aquarium.
Temperament: Generally peaceful but can be territorial towards conspecifics or similar species. Best kept singly or as a mated pair in larger tanks.
Diet: Omnivorous. In the aquarium, provide a varied diet including high-quality frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and specialised prepared foods formulated for butterflyfish. Supplement with live rock algae and small invertebrates to mimic natural grazing behaviour.
Minimum Tank Size: 120 litres (approximately 30 gallons) recommended to provide ample swimming space and territories.
