Preis-Magnesium-Jod – 10 l

£235.30

Magnesium is the second largest component in sea salt after sodium chloride. The magnesium content in natural seawater is around 1350 mg / l, which is a considerably higher proportion than calcium, which is only present in seawater at 450 mg / l. Calcium precipitates faster than calcium carbonate in aquariums with insufficient magnesium supply. A sure sign of a disturbed magnesium-calcium ratio is a lack of calcium algae growth, poorly growing gorgonians and stony corals. Especially when using osmosis water, mostly only calcium preparations are used for hardening. In order to create a safe balance of calcium and magnesium, we recommend adding MINERAL KOMPLEX S once a week for an optimal calcium supply and for magnesium supply 2 x weekly PRICE MAGNESIUM IOD CONCENTRATE. In addition to magnesium, PREIS MAGNESIUM-JOD CONCENTRATE also contains the extremely important trace element iodine. Iodine is present in natural sea water at around 0.06 mg / l. However, it has the property of failing very quickly, which is further promoted by strong skimming and lighting. Regular addition is therefore essential, since lower animals and corals are inhibited in their growth when iodine deficiency symptoms occur.
